A subsea cleaning inspiration
Coris, as a fish, is a magnificent genus of wrasses, with a significant debate over the etymology of its Greek name, and a unanimous appreciation of its cleverness, appearance and, of course, its well-known cleaning habits. Coris, in nature, can be found in almost every sea and ocean, in the littoral zone, near rocks and eelgrass beds, but they are also famous fish tank cleaners.
Coris has been initially introduced to the public by the famous zoologist Carl Linnaeus, in 1758, and till 1999 there have been taxonomized with more than 27 extraordinary subspecies. For us, their precious cleaning habits were an inspiration, thus we have named our company after it.

Coris, as a company, has been founded in 2021, as a dedicated collaborator of L.I. DIVING STATUS CY in the field of hull cleaning products and services. Inspired directly by L.I. DIVING STATUS CY’s passion and experience in providing leading subsea commercial diving services, we have decided to specialize in the research, development and production of top hull cleaning solution, specially designed according to the needs of diving companies, port management organizations, shipping fleet management companies, and ship maintenance & naval engineering companies all around the world, that can provide underwater services according to IMO, ADCI and US NAVY & BIMCO.
Our main differences with our competitors derive from the fact that Coris deeply understands the needs of the professional divers and implements innovative solutions that simplify the hull cleaning process by providing unparalleled ease, comfort and efficiency.
A cooperation beyond limits
Coris has entrusted L.I. DIVING STATUS CY with the research and development of its Brush-Kart hull cleaning systems, inspired by their fascination and dedication to this professional field. We share a common philosophy and we care for each other in this beneficial relationship, as the cleaning fish cares for its habitat and the coexisting fish. And although this seems too poetic, it constitutes our founding idea. Since then, it is our mentor-company and they are our first-trial users.

Our experience as an international marine contractor, in underwater inspection, underwater hull cleaning, propeller polishing, NDT inspection, ROV inspection, underwater welding & cutting and a wide variety of ship repairing operations, led L.I. DIVING STATUS CY to invest in research and development of modern technologies in hull cleaning operations.
An additional factor driving our continuous and persistent efforts to develop and upgrade the sophisticated material and technological equipment we provide to our customers lays at the core of our philosophy: Coris has been created by divers, who want to promote and provide solutions dedicated to other divers, by understanding completely their needs during their subsea operations.

Since 1976, L.I. DIVING STATUS CY has been continuously expanding the range of underwater and diving services provided. The three main fields of underwater services are the certified by 9 members of International Association of Classification Societies (IACS) underwater inspection and in-water survey, the hull cleaning operation services and products, and the underwater ship repair & maintenance operations, approved by NATO & the US Navy, the International Institute of Welding (IIW) and the European Federation for Welding, the HSE, as well as the Greek and the Cypriot governments, followed by respective certifications.
